• Legends Drum Corps Preview See some of the top Drum & Bugle Corps in the country at the Vicksburg Stadium on Thursday, July 2, 2009 as they prepare for the World Championships.
Units appearing (in reverse order of performance) are:

- Glassmen - Toledo, OH
- Colts - Dubuque, IA
- Legends - Kalamazoo, MI
- Colt Cadets - Dubuque, IA

Tickets available at the box office on the day of the event beginning at 4:00 pm. Tickets for this event range from $30-20 with groups of 20 or more reduced to $15 in the $20 locations.
• 4th of July Parade & Celebration Our neighbors in Schoolcraft invite us to attend their 64th Annual Independence Day Parade & Fireworks Celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2009.

• Indian Lake Nazarene Camp Family Festival Indian Lake Nazarene Camp is having it's annual spectacular event "Family Festival" on July 3, 4 & 5, 2009. Everyone is invited- activities for all ages.
Highlights include:
Laura, the Elephant,
Robo-Surfer.
Climbing Wall & Zip Line.
All events are low priced or FREE.
Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene will offer "Church at the Lake" Sunday morning.

• Lion's Club Summer Festival (aka Beer -n- Brats) July 16, 17, 18: Vicksburg Lion's Club presents the 36th Annual Lion's Club Summer Festival, located at the Vicksburg Recreation Park off Sprinkle Road. Looking for volleyball teams and horseshoe teams, please call Eric Stafinski for volleyball at 720-4061 and Brett Grossman for horseshoes at 615-6770.

• Arts in the Park The Vicksburg Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor multiple performances this summer. This is a free community event held at Oswalt Park on the corner of Prairie and Main. Events run from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Be sure to bring your blanket, lawn chair and picnic!
Schedule includes:
July 10 – Lobo the Clown presents Capt’n Whitebeard, Michigan Idol competition winner, Dani Jamerson and local favorite band Jealous Radio. Hosted by Kurtis Abraham - Edward Jones Investments.
July 24 – Neerly Perfect will be performing classic rock followed by contempory Christian singer/keyboardist Abbey Andrew. Hosted by Good to Go Café.
August 7 - Area performers Faith Christian EFC Praise Team will open for newcomer Perry Costello. Hosted by realtor Joel Nelson.
Performances will relocate to the Vicksburg United Methodist Church in case of inclement weather.

• Conquer Chiari Walk Across America Conquer Chiari Walk Across America- Saturday September 26, 2009. Register at 10:30am , walk starts at noon. The walk begins at the Vicksburg Recreation Trailway off Sprinkle Road and goes to Bobby's Drive-In. Walk is approximately 3/4 mile long. There will be music by bands "Wire and Wood" as well as "Dooley Noted". There will be food and items for sale to help raise money for Chiari awareness. Join us for a great day. • Southwest Michigan Punishers Football The Southwest Michigan Punishers is a fourth-year semi-professional football team based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Home games are played at the Vicksburg High School Stadium at 501 East Highway. Home games start at 6:00 p.m. and are scheduled for June 20, July 18, July 25, August 1, August 8 and August 22.
