Nationally recognized, Vicksburg's Old Car Festival draws thousands each summer for great family fun.

• Memorial Day Parade
Vicksburg Memorial Day Parade & Memorial Service. Monday, May 26, Parade starts at 10:00 am, running through Downtown Vicksburg and ending with a Memorial Service in the Highway Street cemetery. Parade participant registration is required.

• Fulton Memorial Day Parade
Annual Memorial Day Parade by Hometown USA Downtown Fulton, Monday, May 26, 2008, 12:00 pm Children's Parade, 12:30 Grand Parade. No pre-registration required. Parade ends with a Memorial Service at the cemetery.

• Vicksburg Old Car Festival
28th Annual Vicksburg Old Car Festival presented by Vicksburg Community Association

1. Friday, June 13, 2008, 6:00 -10:00 pm, live oldies music and old cars
2. Saturday, June 14, 2008, 7:00 - 11:00 am, pancake breakfast at South County Fire Station
   • 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Old Car Festival, 3:30 car trophies awarded
   • 10:00 am - 3:00 pm Live Entertainment
   • 9:30 am - 4:00 pm Arts & Crafts Show in Clark Park
   • 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Vicksburg Historic Museum open with Steam & gas engine show
   • 10:00 am - 3:00 pm Ice Cream Social at Vicksburg United Methodist Church (VUMC)
   • 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Vicksburg Education Association BBQ Chicken dinner at VUMC

• South County Players present Summer Theatre
South County players present 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' at the Vicksburg Performing Arts Center, Thursday-Saturday, June 26-28, 8:00 pm, Sunday, June 29, 2008, 2:00 pm. All seats reserved. Call (269) 321-1192 for ticket information.

• Relay for Life
This year's American Cancer Society Relay for Life Begins Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 10:00 am and ends Sunday, June 29 at 10:00 am. To be held in Schoolcraft. For more information, call Pam Hughes at (269)349-8719.

• 4th of July Parade & Celebration
Our neighbors in Schoolcraft invite us to attend their 83rd Annual Independence Day Parade & Fireworks Celebration. Friday, July 4, 2008, Parade 11:00 am downtown Schoolcraft, family events and activities all day. Fireworks at Dusk from Schoolcraft High School grounds.

• Lion's Club Summer Festival (aka Beer -n- Brats)
35th Annual Vicksburg Lion's Club Summer Festival, Vicksburg Recreation Park (north of the Village off Sprinkle Rd):

1. Thursday, July 17, 2008, Family Night 4-11 pm Children’s games, Rocket football sign-up, adult volleyball tournament begins 6-9 pm,
2. Friday, July 18, 2008, 11:00 am – 1:00 am, Volleyball tournament continues at 6:00 pm, entertainment throughout evening
3. Saturday, July 19, 2008, 9:00 am Vicksburg High School Alumni sponsored breakfast 10:00 am – 1:00 am, volleyball continues, horseshoe tournament begins and entertainment throughout day

• K'zoo Folklife Folk Music Festival
K'zoo Folklife Folk Music Festival, Saturday, July 26, 2008, 8:30 am – 9:00 pm at the Vicksburg Historic Village. Two stages of non-stop music, children’s activities, vendor tents and special exhibits all day.

• Summer Concerts in the Park
Join us downtown Vicksburg for live, family entertainment every Friday evening (June - September). 6:30pm - 8:30 pm. Presented by the Vicksburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

• American Red Cross Blood Drive
Lakeland Reformed Church hosts an American Red Cross Blood Drive, May 16, 2008, 10442 S Sprinkle Rd, Vicksburg, 649-1703 (dates and times subject to change, call to confirm)

Community Notes

• The 1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month, the local Boy Scouts, troop #251 & 254 offer newspaper recycling from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm, Richardson Street south of the railroad tracks.
• The Vicksburg Area Chamber of Commerce regularly meets the 2nd Monday of each month, 6 pm. Schedule and location may vary.
• The Vicksburg Historical Society regularly meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month May through November, 7 pm, at Vicksburg Museum, unless otherwise noted.
• The Village meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays each month, 7 pm, at South County Community Services. June, July and August 3rd Mondays only.
• Vicksburg Ladies Library Auxiliary meets the 1st Friday of September, October, November December, March, April & May from 1-2:30 pm at the Library.
• Vicksburg District Library Bridge Club meets every Tuesday from 9:30-11:30 am.
• Vicksburg District Library Quilters Club meets monthly, call 649-1648 for schedule.
