Cars on display at last year's Old Car Festival

• Vickburg Farmers Market
The Vicksburg Farmers' Market will be open beginning Friday, May 21 and every Friday after that through September. The hours are from 2:30 to 6:30 at the former Bobby's Drive-In on North Richardson Street in Vicksburg, across from the Historic Village and Depot Museum. Vendors will have locally grown vegetables and fruit, honey products, cut flowers, plants, beef, lamb, chicken, baked goods, and cheese for sale each week. The quality of the food is best described as tasting fresh and wholesome because it comes from local farms. Customers will be able to picnic on Sunset Lake or tour the buildings in the Historic Village. There will be special events offered each week that focus on food and friends

• 21st Annual Main Street Revue
Vicksburg Community Association's 21st annual MAIN STREET REVUE visits "Lola's Beauty Shop," circa 1950's! Come meet Lola's zany staff, peculiar customers, talented performers, hair, fashion, and music, and enjoy an evening of family entertainment from the incredible 1950's! Show dates Oct. 1 & 2, 2010, curtain at 8:00 pm. Reserved seating $10 and $8. Phone 321-1193 for ticket information.

• Holiday Art Sale
17th Annual Holiday Art Sale: November 5, 2010 (5pm-9pm) and November 6, 2010 (9am - 3pm) at Prudential Nursery on Sprinkle Rd.

Local artists, featuring Ceramics, Jewelry, Metal Art, Stained Glass, Photography, Watercolors, Fiber Art to wear, give and use.

• Monthly Blood Drive
Bronson Vicksburg Hospital will host a community blood drive the first Thursday of each month in 2010 from 3-8 p.m. Bronson Vicksburg Hospital is located at 13326 N. Boulevard Ave. No pre-registration necessary.

• Lions Club
Vicksburg Lions Club Meets every 2nd & 4th Monday @ 6:30 P.M. at the Vicksburg Community Center. Learn more

• Paper Drive
The 1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month, the local Boy Scouts, troop #251 & 254 offer newspaper recycling from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, Richardson Street south of the railroad tracks.

• Vicksburg Historical Society
The Vicksburg Historical Society regularly meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month May through November, 7 pm, at Vicksburg Museum, unless otherwise noted.

• Village Meetings
The Village meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays each month, 7 pm, at South County Community Services. June, July and August 3rd Mondays only.

• Ladies Library Auxiliary
Vicksburg Ladies Library Auxiliary meets the 1st Friday of September, October, November December, March, April & May from 1-2:30 pm at the Library.

• Bridge Club
Vicksburg District Library Bridge Club meets every Tuesday from 9:30-11:30 am.

• Quilter's Club
Vicksburg District Library Quilters Club meets monthly, call 649-1648 for schedule.
